The most highly rated coffee in Indooroopilly can also be found inside the shopping centre. Foundry Artisan Coffee have been impressing coffee aficionados since opening with their Dramanti beans (including a single origin from PNG) and espresso, cold drip and filter brews. Rather uniquely all their food is gluten-free, but that doesn’t mean the bagels, cakes and buns are lacking in flavour. The hot chocolate, made with an artisan blend provided by Monsieur Truffle in Melbourne, also comes highly recommended.

At The Humble Quinoa you’ll find stylish décor combined with wholesome meals. This dining hall and deli features a glamorous mud-bead chandelier from South Africa and tempting menu influenced by creator Minh Le’s Vietnamese background. Grab a table here to enjoy all-day breakfast, a charcuterie board or Minh Le’s Vietnamese savoury mince or fried chicken wings. Those with a sweet tooth will want to order the Nutella pancakes, which are stacked with fresh banana, drizzled with Nutella sauce and topped with homemade coconut gelati. Yum!

A fantastic way to see more of this scenic area is by taking a drive up to the Mount Coot-tha Brisbane Lookout . This historic lookout offers panoramic views of Brisbane CBD, all the way to Moreton Bay, plus has a number of walking tracks through the surrounding National Park. For a more relaxed visit, book a table at award-winning Summit Restaurant (a favourite for special occasions) or take a seat on the sun-soaked terrace of the more informal Kuta Café.

Another must-see in the area are the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, 52 hectares of blooms that are recognised as Queensland’s premier subtropical botanic gardens. The gardens are free to enter and are open every day of the year from 8am to 5pm.
